Experienced players and newcomers will find exactly the marker that meets their requirements at the Adventure Company ASMC. The selection ranges from the impressive long gun to the realistic design of a Walther P99.

With the matching marker from ASMC the fun is perfect

ASMC has a large and interesting selection of different marker models in its range for paintball players. This is an important prerequisite for meeting the requirements, which can be different for each player depending on their individual playing style. For example, a tournament marker has a different construction than a woodland marker, which in its external structure is more reminiscent of real weapons. The basic function of a paintball marker is always the same.

The marker is an air gun with a holder for a carbon dioxide bottle or a corresponding cartridge. When the shot is fired, the compressed air accelerates the paintball, also known as paint for short. The devices typically have a smooth-running trigger with a short release path, some of which is ball-bearing mounted. This additionally supports the desired short reaction time that this sometimes very fast game requires.

A paintball marker is made up of several components that are integrated into the marker housing made of plastic and aluminum alloys. These include the trigger mechanism, a large part of the gas line and the mounts for the hopper and the barrel. If it is an electro-pneumatic marker, the device also has a solenoid valve for control and an adjustable pressure reducer. The marker housing is connected to the handle, into which the trigger is integrated.

The hopper is an important component for the game. This is the storage container for the paints. Depending on the design, these are fed into the barrel by gravity or, in the case of powered hoppers, by an electric motor or compressed air. The storage containers usually hold up to 200 paints. Woodland markers do not have hoppers, but are equipped with rod or tube magazines. These have a capacity of up to 20 paints.

Differences between the different versions

There are three types of markers:
• E-pneumatics or pump-action technology markers
• Blowback marker
• E-Blowback or semi-automatic

E-pneumatics are operated using compressed air, which automatically pulls the bolt back. With blowback markers, the bolt is moved mechanically. Semi-automatic markers are equipped with an electronic magnetic switch that controls the bolt. The advantage of semi-automatic markers or E-blowback markers is the significantly shorter time intervals for firing the paint balls.

What exactly is the advantage of semi-automatic machines?

Semi-automatic markers are among the most commonly used markers. They allow the ammunition to be fired at much shorter intervals than normal blowback markers. They are particularly suitable for advanced players, while blowback markers are ideal for getting started in this exciting sport.

Be sure to note!

Paintball markers may only be used with appropriate protective equipment. The muzzle velocity of the paint is approximately 79 to 91 meters per second. In other words, paintballs with the common caliber 68 reach a speed of 285 to 330 km/h.

Questions: Markers

What is the difference between woodland and tournament markers?

Woodland markers are sometimes deceptively similar to real weapons and are used primarily in realistic games. Tournament markers are characterized by their long barrel, which is reminiscent of a paint spray gun. These are often electric pneumatics, as they have a barely noticeable recoil and require very little compressed air.

Is there a test mark for paintball markers?

The test mark of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) is a pentagon with an "F". Every marker approved in Germany bears this test mark, including the caliber, the exact model name and the manufacturer's name or trademark. Alternatively, the importer or dealer can also be indicated instead of the manufacturer's name.

Can projectiles other than paints be used?

Depending on the model, speedballs can be used. An example is the RAM Walther SG 68 marker. This is a pump-action shotgun with a pump-action system that fires both paint and rubber speedballs.
