The backpacks can be used without any preparation. There are basically no special features that need to be observed. Reading the instructions for use provides valuable information on the structure, use and properties or functions of the backpacks, which sometimes differ significantly.
Tip: Before using the backpack, it should always be adjusted to the size of the wearer. This protects the back and ensures optimal carrying comfort.
In addition to its main purpose, the backpack should also enable the wearer to protect items from the weather. The orderly storage in the various backpack compartments allows quick and uncomplicated access. Before putting on the backpack, make sure that the respective zippers have been properly closed.

Which backpack is right for me?

Before choosing the right backpack, you should look at its design. The backpacks can be used for many different applications, but a different model may be recommended for each purpose. The respective camouflage colors, for example, should be matched to the area of ​​application. Effective camouflage is only possible in this way. The second important selection criterion is the size and volume of the backpack. The models in our range have different capacities and more or less large side pockets.
In addition to purely functional and practical considerations, when choosing a backpack you should also make sure that it matches the rest of your clothing. Strong color deviations can affect the overall look and reduce the camouflage effect. The selection should not be based on the manufacturer. We are aware of our quality standards and have therefore filled our range exclusively with products from renowned brand manufacturers.
The material of most backpacks is polyester. This ensures optimal resistance to external weather influences such as rain, snow and sunlight when backpacking. The weight of the backpacks is usually one kilogram. There are no major differences in this area. Some backpacks have a removable waist belt and padded shoulder straps. Carrying handles can be an advantage depending on the area of ​​use. Many models have a breathable back and shoulder strap, which prevents sweat from being absorbed.

Expert tip: How to expand the backpack volume

Expanding the backpack volume by attaching a MOLLE system. Molle is a military system for attaching and carrying equipment and objects. The system is extremely variable and compatible. The Molle bags can be attached to the desired position on the backpack. The loops are attached vertically to the Molle straps so that the Molle and compression straps can be perfectly interwoven.

How do you put on a heavy backpack?

You grab the handle with your left hand and the shoulder strap with your right hand. Your left foot is in front of the backpack and your leg is slightly bent. Then you pull the backpack up towards you with momentum and place it on your left knee. Now you let go of the handle. Then you reach under the shoulder strap and further to the bottom of the backpack and swing the backpack onto your back with your right hand. Now you put your right arm under the shoulder pad and the backpack is on your shoulders.

What to do about a smelly backpack?

There are laundry disinfectants, e.g. from Sagrotan, but also no-name products. You put these in the fabric softener compartment of the washing machine or you can use the old grandma trick with vinegar essence; the vinegar smell disappears very quickly when exposed to air.

How do you reduce the overall weight?

To reduce the overall weight, it is not enough to buy light equipment and throw it in your backpack. Instead, you need to think carefully about the planned tour and know your own abilities, needs and experience. Why is that? Imagine you packed the lightest of everything, but at the end of the tour you realize that half of what you took with you was not actually needed. The lowest possible weight can therefore only be achieved if the equipment is selected with good planning and intelligence.

5 items that should not be missing from any backpack:

You can certainly save a lot, see the previous paragraph. But what you absolutely have to take with you on tour:
- A document to identify yourself (passport/identity card),
- EC/credit card and health insurance card (for emergencies),
- Duct tape (adhesive tape),
- Wet wipes and
- Earplugs.
