What should be considered when using mosquito repellent?

Before using the mosquito net for the first time, it should be checked for any damage - in this case holes. When putting the mosquito net up, make sure that it is not too tight. Otherwise, the entire net could be torn off or broken by small impacts. It is also important to remember that the interior of the mosquito net should offer enough space. A high degree of freedom of movement is essential for a longer or even permanent stay.

It is important that the mosquito protection completely encloses the room to be shielded. Smaller holes can lead to mosquitoes and insects getting into the interior, which reduces the protective effect of the mosquito net many times over. First, you have to decide what the mosquito protection is to be used for. In addition to simple nets, you can also buy complete sets that include an additional place to lie or sit. In addition to loose mosquito nets, you can also buy ones that are only intended to protect certain areas of the body, such as the head.

What forms are there?

Mosquito nets are available in a number of different versions, whether square or round, with or without suspensions. Depending on the area of application, there are different requirements or recommendations. For example, a pyramid shape obviously makes little sense for protecting entire seating groups.

How fine-meshed does the net have to be?

That depends on the area you are going to. If you want to protect yourself from all possible animals and not just from a certain type of mosquito, the net should of course have as fine a mesh as possible. In the tropics, however, the requirements are of course completely different to those at the pond around the corner.

What to do if there is a crack/enlarged hole?

Of course, you have to notice it first. However, it is advisable to check the net daily anyway, or in any case after moving to a new location, so that any new holes are noticed quickly. In order not to be unprotected if a hole does appear, you should have a needle and thread in your equipment, with which you can "seal" the hole and completely restore the mosquito protection.
