BW Commando Beret

The Plein Ciel Commando beret is part of the German army uniform. The ventilation eyelets allow air to circulate and the leather edging also serves as a sweatband. The water-repellent surface is made from tightly woven felt wool, which can absorb up to 30% of its weight in water. In warm climates, the moisture is transported away through the fibers and keeps the head cool and dry. It also has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) of 40.

The commando form originally comes from France, but is also worn by the German Armed Forces.
