FMA - Tourniquet Gen.7 Combat Application

The Tourniquet Gen.7 Combat Application, like its predecessors, was developed to quickly stop life-threatening bleeding from the extremities. It can prevent massive blood loss and replaces the classic pressure bandages in today's combat units. The tourniquet is part of the standard personal medical equipment in many military units. It allows the patient to quickly treat comrades or themselves, giving the paramedics more time to treat them in an emergency.
It is applied to the injured limb and then the lock is tightened. The time is noted on the top of the white Velcro strap so that the pressure can be released at regular intervals and thus prevent the tissue from dying.
