With the Instinct Solar Tactical, Garmin is launching a GPS multisport smartwatch with an exclusive design. The PowerGlass solar lens converts sunlight into battery energy. This innovative technology does not replace the primary charging source, but can extend the time between charges. In full sunlight with an intensity of 100%, it receives around 50,000 lux. The robust housing is tested according to military standards. In expedition mode, the GPS runtime is extended by up to 68 days. The Power Manager can be used to adjust the power consumption of the individual sensors and functions in order to achieve even more performance.
